Pendulum and Rock Island Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center Sign Direct Sales Basic Ordering Agreement
ROCK ISLAND, Ill.-(Business Wire)-January 27, 2009 - Pendulum Resources LLC announced that it has signed a Direct Sales Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with the United States Government, Rock Island Arsenal Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center (JMTC). The JMTC has a manufacturing and rebuild mission and unique defense production capabilities and facilities. The JMTC is the Army’s only vertically integrated metal manufacturing facility and has the only remaining U. S. Army foundry.
Through this BOA, Pendulum seeks to offer the production and service capabilities of JMTC to private sector companies. This BOA will enable industry to take advantage of the enormous manufacturing and service capability of the JMTC while assisting the Government in maximizing utilization of the capacity of the facilities, reducing or eliminating the cost of ownership of the facilities, and preserving skills or equipment related to the core competency of the facilities.

The Rock Island Arsenal Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center is the largest government-owned weapons manufacturing arsenal in the western world and is a center of technical excellence for weaponry and support equipment. Specifically, the JMTC manufactures gun mounts, artillery carriages, recoil mechanisms and other equipment for the Armed Forces as well as assembles tools, sets, kits and outfits that support equipment in the field.
