Family Fun Reigns Supreme at 30th Annual CHICAGOLAND OUTDOORS SHOW, Chicagoland’s Largest Consumer Fishing and Outdoor Sports Event
CHICAGO-(Business Wire)-January 5, 2009 - The 30th Annual CHICAGOLAND OUTDOORS SHOW makes its return to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL., from January 21 – 24, 2009, where thousands of fishing and outdoor sports enthusiasts will converge to find fun for the entire family. As the largest sports and fishing show in the greater Chicago area, attendees will participate in a number of exciting activities, as well as test the latest gear from the industry’s leading manufacturers.
In particular, sportsmen will have the opportunity to see the largest collection of fishing and hunting lodges, outdoor clubs, and retailers, as well as attend hunting and fishing seminars, and participate in such special events as:
- Dock Dogs - America’s fastest growing canine sport. Watch dogs go the distance in this “long jump” competition, as seen on ESPN.
- Great Lakes Timber Show - featuring chainsaw carving, axe throwing, and log rolling.
- Fishing Hall – featuring the latest gear for freshwater and saltwater fishing, including rods, reels, lures, tackle and clothing.
- Midwest Cimmarron Archery – Kids test their bow and arrow skills and compete at the Cimmarron Archery Center.
Chicagoland Outdoors Show will also present a “Kids Day” on Saturday, January 24, featuring casting, shooting, special how-to fish seminars, with prizes from Plano.
