Christy Sports Celebrates Its 50th Anniversary by Giving Away More Than $50,000 in Prizes

LAKEWOOD, Colo.-(Business Wire)-January 5, 2009 - Christy Sports, one of the largest specialty ski and snowboard retailers in the Rocky Mountain region, today announced the company’s plans to celebrate its 50^th anniversary. All season long, the company is giving away more than $50,000 in prizes and is also planning a birthday ski party on March 11 at Copper Mountain East Village at the base of the Super B lift.

“This is our way of saying thank you to our loyal customers who have supported us for 50 years,” said Keith Liefer, COO of Christy Sports. “Our customers have made it possible for us to expand from our first location on West Colfax Ave. in Denver to currently more than 40 stores throughout the Rocky Mountain region. We want to celebrate by rewarding them for their patronage and loyalty.”

Christy Sports is now giving away 16 prizes per week until March 15. Customers can sign up at Christy Sports locations throughout Colorado and Utah, and then each Sunday, one name from each of the 16 regions will be drawn for the prize. Each week different prizes will be available for each region and only entries submitted during that week will be eligible.

Spyder Men’s and Women’s Jackets and Pants
Custom Insoles from DFP
Sunglasses from Smith
Snowboards from K2, Salomon and Never Summer
Helmets from Giro
Ski Poles from Leki
