Big Foot Appoints New Clubhouse Manager

FONTANA, Wis.-(Business Wire)-December 30, 2008 - Big Foot Country Club, a private country club in Fontana, WI, has appointed Philip Lane as the new Clubhouse Manager. Mr. Lane has gained a great reputation in hospitality industry management at four and five diamond properties throughout the United States.

He has held senior management positions within catering, event management and conference services at hotels and resorts, including the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa in Lake Geneva, WI; Ross Bridge Renaissance in Birmingham, AL; Ponte Vedra Inn & Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; The Cloister at Sea Island in Sea Island, GA; Sawgrass Resort in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; and Longboat Key Resort in Sarasota, FL. Most recently, he served as Director of Catering and Conference Services at The Abbey Resort and Spa in Fontana.

Philip has also been voted Best Conference Services Manager of the Year, worked on the Southern Governors’ Conference staff and was highly involved within the front-end planning stages of the G-8 Summit.

He and his wife Linda reside in Fontana and have two adult children. He replaces Robert Timm, who is retiring at the end of this year after serving twelve years at Big Foot.
