More Than 1,200 African-American College Students Travel to Atlanta for the Impact 2008 Mission: Possible Conference

| What: | While much of the country focuses its attention on college bowl games and the NFL playoffs, more than 1,200 African-American students from college campuses as far away as California, have come to Atlanta for The Impact Movement’s 2008 Conference and its Day of Outreach. | |
| During the Day of Outreach activities, the students attending the conference will visit low-income neighborhoods throughout Atlanta to distribute more than 1,000 Holiday Boxes with enough food to feed a family of four. The Impact student teams will also visit the Destiny Rock of Escape, a juvenile detention center where the Conference students will share food and Bibles with incarcerated youth. | ||
| A key Day of Outreach site will be at the Lakewood Church of Christ where the homeless will receive a Chick-fil-A lunch, and a Homeless Care Kit which includes a blanket, hat, socks and an assortment of toiletries. | ||
