Shareholders Take Control of Carbon Diversion, Inc. and Elect New Board of Directors
HONOLULU-(Business Wire)-September 29, 2009 - Carbon Diversion, Inc., a Waipahu-based waste-to-energy company, today announced that its shareholders, acting at a court-ordered special meeting, have elected a new board of directors. None of the company’s prior directors was re-elected. The shareholders elected Amanda Knorr, Troy Wragg and Steven Egesdal as the members of the Board.
Immediately after the special meeting of shareholders, the new Board dismissed the company’s existing officer, Michael Lurvey, president and CEO. The company’s other officers and directors had resigned previously. The new Board elected Ms. Knorr as president and treasurer and Mr. Wragg as vice president and secretary.
After the directors’ meeting, Ms. Knorr stated, “It is unfortunate that we had to take such drastic action.” Ms. Knorr continued, “Once we can understand the true extent of the company’s financial situation, the new board will determine the company’s future direction.”
