Schaeffer's Daily Option Blog: Call Trading Picks Up on Nokia (NOK)
CINCINNATI-(Business Wire)-September 29, 2009 - Nokia Corp. (NYSE: NOK) was the focus of some heavy options trading yesterday, as traders sent more than 46,000 contracts across the tape on the various exchanges. This surge in trading volume was more than double the stock's average daily trading volume of 21,444 contracts, according to data from WhatsTrading.com.
In the front three months of options, the October 15 call added approximately 1,700 new contracts, while the October 15 put added roughly 1,500 contracts, making these options the most active on the front-month series.
