Elizabeth Stone House Chooses Social Solutions to Enhance Performance Management
BALTIMORE-(Business Wire)-September 29, 2009 - Social Solutions, the leading provider of performance management software for human and social services, today announced that the Elizabeth Stone House, an organization serving women – and their children – affected by domestic violence, mental illness, substance abuse and homelessness, is implementing an Efforts to Outcomes Initiative based on its ETO Software®.
In support of this initiative to enhance performance management, the Elizabeth Stone House has received a $5,000 challenge grant from the John H. and H. Naomi Tomfohrde Foundation to go towards the acquisition and customization of ETO software. The organization is using the software to boost overall performance by tracking service delivery and outcomes and is tapping into Social Solutions’ consulting services to refine its outcomes management practices and maximize the value of the technology. Elizabeth Stone House is also moving away from a cumbersome, paper-based information storage system.
“It was always a challenge for us to track outcomes,” said James May, Manager of Funder Relations at the Elizabeth Stone House. “Prior to using ETO software, we did not have the technology or resources to analyze our overall effectiveness. Much of our data was stored in paper files, so we could track how well individual program participants were doing, but any analysis that required aggregating data was inefficient and error prone. ETO software makes it possible for us to overcome that difficulty; and with Social Solutions consulting services we can truly maximize the usefulness of the technology – allowing us to improve performance significantly.”
The Elizabeth Stone House aims to counter the effects of trauma and break the cycle of violence and abuse—one family at a time. Through residential and community support services, the Stone House helps families heal and women reclaim control over their lives. The Stone House specializes in working with survivors of abuse and violence who suffer from additional mental health and substance abuse problems. The Stone House works in partnership with women to develop practical, step-by-step goals that tackle the complexity of issues that each client is facing.
