CHICAGO-(Business Wire)-September 29, 2009 - Helen Lucaitis, an attorney and former television reporter, has launched LawyerUp Media LLC, which will provide public relations services for lawyers. The Chicago-based company will help lawyers create publicity, manage the media and hone their TV skills.

Lucaitis’ training as an attorney and experience covering highly-publicized trials gives her a unique background in the field of legal public relations.

“While covering trials and lawsuits as a TV reporter, I found many attorneys don’t enjoy dealing with the media or simply don’t have time to,” said Lucaitis, who is the company’s owner.

The legal p.r. company will offer lawyers services that include media strategy, media training, crisis communications, news conference production and caseload assessment.

Lucaitis worked as a legal correspondent on the Court TV news programs Prime Time Justice, Pros & Cons, Hollywood at Large and the nationally syndicated news program, Inside America’s Courts. She was also a legal reporter at Fox5 News (WNYW-TV) in New York City, where she covered a number of high-profile court cases, including the trials of Martha Stewart, ex-Tyco CEO Dennis Kozlowski, Rosie O’Donnell and Jayson Williams.

Lucaitis is an attorney licensed in Illinois, Indiana and Arizona.

LawyerUp Media LLC is a boutique public relations agency for attorneys, which offers media strategy, media training, crisis communications, news conference production, proactive positioning and trial support services. It was founded by former TV reporter Helen Lucaitis who has covered court cases for nearly 15 years.
