ClearSight Networks’ Superior User Experience Delivers More Effective Network Monitoring and Analysis
FREMONT, Calif.-(Business Wire)-September 28, 2009 - ClearSight Networks, a worldwide provider of award-winning application and analysis tools for today’s dynamic networks, today announced enhanced usability features in its ClearSight Network Time Machine® (NTM) — powered by ClearSight Analyzer (CSA), an advanced network monitoring and troubleshooting tool. Providing the deep network insight and visibility required for today’s complex and multi-protocol networks, the new NTM/CSA emphasizes the IT end-user experience with an intuitive interface promoting easier navigation and extended capture and record capabilities.
Many network analysis and monitoring solutions provide a complicated user interface that can make it difficult for IT administrators to quickly analyze and effectively troubleshoot problems in their network. Even worse, if they have not used these tools in a while, it may take a bit of time to get reacquainted with them — time they may not have if an unplanned outage or other business-impacting event takes place. Already well-known for being user friendly and intuitive, ClearSight’s new NTM/CSA 7.0.6 release now allows for advanced navigation, further raising the bar for ease-of-use.
“Our new Network Time Machine continues ClearSight’s long tradition of ensuring the health and reliability of enterprise networks by pinpointing problems and performance bottlenecks that other network monitoring and analysis solutions cannot even detect,” said Bill Berkman, chief operating officer at ClearSight Networks. “However, the simple and more intuitive functionality of the NTM/CSA now provides end-users with improved navigation and ease-of-use —streamlining more than eight years of product innovation.”
Integrated with the NTM, the CSA provides unparalleled protocol analysis and decode capabilities. The CSA offers analysis tools for commonly used video and voice codecs and allows for the reconstruction and playback of both video and audio streams — instantly identifying network problems and issues in multimedia traffic. In addition, NTM/CSA 7.0.6 supports the launching of external tools from within the NTM application. This introduces the possibility of using the NTM to capture and monitor wire-speed traffic up to 10 GbE and employing a third party application such as SNORT® or Wireshark® to process and interpret the data.
ClearSight’s NTM/CSA 7.0.6 is available now. For additional product information or to request an evaluation unit, please contact ClearSight Networks at 510-824-6000 or sales@clearsightnet.com.
