Market Street Upgrades Web Tools to Enhance Guests’ Experience Inside and Outside the Store
FRISCO, Texas-(Business Wire)-September 28, 2009 - Market Street guests and fans now can enjoy newly enhanced online capabilities via MarketStreetUnited.com, thanks to a new partnership with MyWebGrocer.
Market Street, United Supermarkets’ all-on-one grocery store, recently launched user-friendly features that enable guests to get more out of their Market Street Web experience to help create a better, more enjoyable in-store shopping experience. Site guests can take advantage of the new enhancements to online materials like streamlined prescription refills, interactive weekly circulars by store location, online catering orders, gift card purchases, floral orders, video cooking tutorials and in-store promotions.
Market Street will utilize a complete suite of online tools from MyWebGrocer and ePharmacy designed to help enhance all aspects of the Market Street online experience and will continue to roll out new and innovative features as the site progresses.
Over the past year, Market Street has expanded its online capabilities to provide its guests with additional tools that showcase what’s happening at their local Market Street location. The company launched an individual site for each of its six Dallas-Fort Worth-area grocery stores detailing community-specific news and events, promotions, coupons and an area for guests to provide feedback about their in-store or online shopping experiences.
Additionally, Market Street has greatly expanded its online presence for guests through popular social networking tools like Facebook and Twitter. Daily updates allow guests to stay connected with Market Street happenings as well as receive and pass along links to coupons, in-store specials and discounts, details on culinary classes at the McKinney, Colleyville and Frisco locations, information about upcoming DFW events and daily menu selections from Market Street’s pre-prepared meals.
“At Market Street, we want to make our guests’ online experience just as enjoyable as their in-store experience,” said Randy Crimmins, vice president, marketing at United Supermarkets, LLC. “With our individual store sites, updates to Facebook and Twitter and enhanced Web features like an interactive weekly circular, online prescription refills and gift card purchasing, we’re going beyond our store aisles and reaching out to our guests with a new medium that brings added convenience and new ways to save. We’ve seen a great response from our guests and they seem to really enjoy taking advantage of all these new capabilities, and that’s a trend we’d like to continue.”
One of the more popular features in Market Street’s new online suite is the interactive weekly circular that gives guests a friendlier approach to keeping track of the specialty items, whole-health/gourmet products and produce they love. One-click shopping lists allow guests to quickly add items from the circular or any number of Market Street’s savory recipes onto their unique shopping list and print it for their next shopping trip. The new circular features also give guests the ability to learn more about individual food items, easily print online coupons and receive notifications when their favorite items go on sale, all before they leave for the store.
Additionally, Market Street’s enhanced online pharmacy gives guests access to refill prescriptions anytime. Online guests simply fill out an online refill form and the request is sent directly to the pharmacy location of their choice to be filled.
With online catering, Market Street guests can easily customize and order cakes and pastries ahead of time. In addition to baked goods, guests can order party platters and full-course meals from the delicatessen, seafood and meat departments, allowing the host more free time to concentrate on the fun.
