PureSpectrum, Inc. Enters into Distribution Contract with National Utilities Distributor and Receives Purchase Order
SAVANNAH, Ga.-(Business Wire)-September 28, 2009 - PureSpectrum, Inc. (Pink Sheets: PSPM) has received an initial purchase order and an emphatic endorsement of the company’s 20-watt dimmable Compact Fluorescent Lamp (CFL) from a large national distributor that services more than 900 rural electric cooperatives and generation and transmission cooperatives in 47 states.
PureSpectrum’s sales staff has been working for months to finalize the relationship with a nationwide distributor that distributes products and services to energy providers that provide service to more than 18 million businesses, homes and other residential and commercial energy customers in 80% of the counties in the United States. More than 10 percent of the U.S. population subscribes to energy providers serviced by the distributor, and the primary focus of those providers is introducing end users to products such as PureSpectrum’s 20-watt dimmable CFL which promote and support increased energy conservation.
In addition to submitting an initial order for PureSpectrum’s 20-watt dimmable CFLs, the distributor has agreed to mail samples of PureSpectrum’s bulbs to its entire customer base with a letter endorsing the product as the most dependable high performance dimmable CFL on the market. The nationwide direct mail campaign is scheduled to begin within two weeks, and PureSpectrum will formally announce the name of the distributor at that time. In addition to a bulb sample, the mailing will also include collateral materials from PureSpectrum, and the company plans to follow the initial mailing with additional mailings during the next six weeks.
PureSpectrum Vice President of Sales Garth Kullman said the company’s sales strategy depends heavily on developing and cultivating relationships with massive national distributors in order to introduce the new brand to a large volume of potential purchasers through established sources. He said being able to work with distributors with long standing reputations for professionalism and providing high quality products is critical to PureSpectrum achieving its short-term and long-term sales and revenue goals.
“What we have undeniably proven is that there is a powerful demand for dimmable energy efficient lighting products in the utilities market, and this relationship provides a large scale, rapid entrance into that market to satisfy that demand,” Kullman said. “We have been told that other supposedly dimmable CFLs that were offered in the past generated negative feedback about the performance of the bulbs. After seeing our bulbs they feel so confident about PureSpectrum’s dimmable CFLs that they have offered to promote the product to their customers. That endorsement speaks very highly of how well these bulbs perform.”
