Real Savvy Media Brings Their Award-Winning TV Series Online
NEW YORK-(Business Wire)-September 28, 2009 - Real Savvy Media announces the launch of their online Video Series, REAL SAVVY MOMS TV.
This modern mom’s video series was inspired by the company’s hugely successful TV series, Real Moms, Real Stories, Real Savvy®, which aired on PBS member stations for four years. The series has garnered 33 Telly Awards, as well as an ongoing grant from the Department of Education for “Excellence in Programming”.
According to The Marketing to Moms coalition, 90% of moms online have watched video in the last seven days. Real Savvy Moms®, is responding to this market demand by distributing previews of their new online season to millions of viewers through a video ad network, which in turn drives traffic back to RealSavvyMoms.com newly built platform where women can watch the videos on demand as well as interact with experts, tell their own stories and join the community.
Series co-creator and Emmy® Nominee Lisa Taylor-Belliveau says, “Moms are busy, so bringing the TV series online makes perfect sense because we know moms respond well to short, mom-friendly segments that they can watch on their own time-table.” She continues, “Our show was always created with online consumption in mind and with our vast library including hundreds of health and wellness topics and core parenting issues we have something for every caregiver.”
The first 6 episodes will focus on topics for new and expectant mothers, which co-insides with the target audience of the shows’ sponsors, A+D® Original Ointment and A+D® Zinc Oxide Cream and Martek’s Life’s DHA who receive category exclusivity.
Episode One topics (visit http://realsavvymoms.com/season-5/episode-1) will investigate what it takes to crack the hugely popular mom blogging arena. Co-founder Lisa Stone reports “Many women are reaching audiences in excess of the New York Times Sunday newspaper” while Liz Gumbinner, founder of the hugely popular Mom 101 and Cool Mom Picks tells us that bloggers are “writers, evangelists, consultants, consumers, and influencers. Journalers and Journalists”. Plus we enter the world of warehouse shopping at well known Sam’s Club to reveal the secrets you need to know about saving. Jill Turner-Mitchael, Mom Family/CEO reveals, “You’ll find that in the club business there is about a 25-30% savings over most grocery stores, and sometimes up to an almost 40% value.” Later in the season leading pediatrician Dr Alan Greene teaches how to boost your child’s immune system. “There is some preliminary evidence that (probiotics) could even decrease respiratory infection, cold and flu and bronchitis and things like that,” says Greene.
With online video currently taking consumer time share from other forms of media, user minutes are projected to reach to 200 billion monthly minutes in 2010 from 30 billion monthly minutes in 2007, according to Nielsen’s U.S. broadband projections. (Gartner Research, March 2009). Real Savvy Moms will continue to produce new weekly episodes to serve this avid audience.
