Parsons Appoints Hopkins as Executive Vice President and Global Business Development Manager of Its Infrastructure & Technology Group
PASADENA, Calif.-(Business Wire)-September 25, 2009 - Parsons announces the appointment of Mary Ann Hopkins as Executive Vice President and Global Business Development Manager of Parsons Infrastructure & Technology Group, Inc. (PI&T), effective October 1, 2009. PI&T, a primary global business unit of Parsons Corporation, is one of the largest providers of management, engineering, environmental, and planning services to government agencies. In her new role, Ms. Hopkins will lead PI&T’s global sales and marketing program.
Ms. Hopkins joined Parsons in 1989 and has held a succession of positions with increasing responsibilities, including manager of numerous environmental projects, department manager for the environmental compliance and pollution prevention sector, program manager for facilities-related projects, and business development manager for the Infrastructure sector. Her most recent position was Senior Vice President and business development manager for PI&T’s Installations & Environment Division.
“Mary Ann’s career at Parsons has spanned more than 20 years and includes management of numerous environmental, infrastructure, and information technology projects,” said Todd Wager, current Executive Vice President and Global Business Development Manager of PI&T, who will take on the position of PI&T President effective October 1, 2009. “Her diverse work experience gives her a balance of technical, project management, operations, and business development skills.”
Ms. Hopkins is a professional engineer and a member of the McGraw Hill Construction Architecture, Engineering, and Construction Business Builders Forum. She holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in civil engineering from Syracuse University in New York. She also completed the Advanced Management Program at Duke University. She is based in Parsons’ Washington, D.C., office.
