Yale Student Annie Le Funeral Mass to Be Held at Suburban Sacramento Church Saturday Morning, Sept. 26

SACRAMENTO, Calif.-(Business Wire)-September 24, 2009 - A Mass of Christian Burial for Yale Student Annie Le will be held Saturday, September 26 at 11 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church located at 3111 Tierra de Dios Drive in El Dorado Hills, California.

Coverage inside Holy Trinity Church will be restricted to the pool. Local NBC affiliate KCRA/Hearst will provide an audio/video feed on-site and via satellite; the Sacramento Bee will provide still photography and a pool report. At the family’s request, the graveside service following Mass will be private and closed to the media.

The Mass will last between 60 and 90 minutes. Following Catholic tradition, eulogies and other remarks will take place at the end of the service. Satellite down-link information is below. Video will be in a 16:9 format.

A special parking area behind the church has been set aside for satellite trucks and the media. Signs will be posted. The family has asked that media covering the funeral arrive before 10:00 am to prevent interference with mourners arriving for the Mass.

A press area will be set up in the portico immediately to the right of the church entrance, extending from the church to curb/drop-off area. A technical briefing followed by an availability with a family spokesperson will take place in the press area at 10:15 am. The hearse bearing Annie Le’s casket will be met by pallbearers at the drop-off area at 10:55 am.

Press kits and fact sheets will be distributed on-site. A second availability will be held at approximately 12:30 pm, in the same location, at the conclusion of Mass. No family members will be available for one-on-one interviews.

Holy Trinity Church is located 30 miles east of downtown Sacramento. To get there, take US 50 to the Bass Lake Road exit and turn left on Bass Lake Road. Immediately after passing under the freeway, turn right on Country Club Drive. Drive ¾ of a mile east and turn left on Tierra de Dios Dr. The church is at the top of the hill. Follow the signs to press parking.
