Loveall Foundation Tops $2.2 Million; Garamendi Praises Help for Children
ROSEVILLE, Calif.-(Business Wire)-September 24, 2009 - The Loveall Foundation for Children celebrated its 11th Annual “Challenge” Charity Classic with the announcement that it has raised $2.2 million for at-risk children since the foundation’s inception in 1997.
“The compassion shown for the most vulnerable in our society is the measure of our humanity,” said Foundation Chairman Jacques Loveall. “The support given to the kids we strive to help is overwhelming, humbling and, most of all, reassuring that compassion is alive and well.”
During the day-long event on Sept. 23 in Granite Bay, Calif., Lt. Gov. John Garamendi presented a state commendation recognizing the foundation’s work for children around the world.
Garamendi praised the foundation for its “outstanding dedication to providing for children and helping them reach their full potential.”
“I applaud the foundation and all of its volunteers for their admirable dedication to improving the lives of so many deserving children,” Garamendi said. “You are truly an inspiration to the people of the Golden State.”
The Loveall Foundation for Children is a non-profit organization of volunteers who work to improve the lives of underprivileged, abused and other children with special needs.
