NCI Awarded $4 Million AFWay II Fielding and Sustainment Task Order
RESTON, Va.-(Business Wire)-September 24, 2009 - NCI, Inc. (NASDAQ:NCIT), a leading provider of information technology (IT), engineering, and professional services and solutions to U.S. Federal Government agencies, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a task order worth an estimated $4 million to support the fielding and sustainment of the AFWay II Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Modernization throughout the U.S. Air Force. The primary place of performance will be at Maxwell AFB-Gunter Annex, Alabama with performance beginning in September 2009 extending through September 2010. This competitively awarded task order is a continuation of earlier efforts in developing the AFWay II ERP pilot system and was awarded under the NETCENTS Contract Vehicle.
Under this task order, NCI and its partner, SRA International, Inc. (NYSE:SRX) will provide the AFWay II Program Office with deployment of the production-ready AFWay II application into the operational environment. AFWay is a web-based system for purchasing Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Information Technology (IT) products. The system combines e-Business and e-Commerce processes, which guide U.S. Air Force users through requirements approval, product selection, funding certification, purchase, and asset tracking by combining these into one process.
