Urban League Tees up for the Children
WESTFIELD, Mass.-(Business Wire)-September 24, 2009 - The Urban League of Springfield, in conjunction with GEICO, will hold its 14th annual Golf Classic and Scramble on Saturday, Sept. 26 at Tekoa Golf Course to benefit the Urban League’s Camp Atwater. Camp Atwater brings together 8-16 year old children from all over the Northeast to provide them with a sleep-away camp adventure that combines recreational fun with academic activities.
"The Urban League is committed to helping young people and their development through great programs like Camp Atwater,” said Henry M. The tournament will begin at 8 a.m. and include a variety of contests, such as “longest drive” and “closest to the pin,” throughout the day.
