Colorado Chapter of Entrepreneurs’ Organization Launch its Accelerator Program
DENVER-(Business Wire)-September 23, 2009 - The Colorado chapter of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), a global network of more than 7,300 business owners in nearly 42 countries driving more than US$111 billion revenue, today announced the launch of its Accelerator Program. The new program enables first-stage entrepreneurs to catapult their business to the next level by providing customized learning and networking, access to a vibrant community of mentors, business owners, and leaders of commerce from around the world.
The national Accelerator Program, focused on key issues faced by first-stage entrepreneurs, will offer select Colorado-based entrepreneurs quarterly one-day learning sessions, presented by an EO-certified facilitator, to a class of up to 30 local entrepreneurs. In addition there will be opportunities for participants to engage with Colorado’s EO Chapter members to aid them in their drive to grow their businesses to more than $1 million in annual sales, the amount of annual sales needed to apply for membership.
"Our members are looking forward to helping mentor early-stage entrepreneurs as they forge through the challenging stages and unchartered territories with their businesses," said Laura Love, president of GroundFloor Media and EO Colorado.
Entrepreneurs accepted into the Accelerator Program can expect to:
- Connect with other entrepreneurs, including the leading business owners and other first-stage entrepreneurs who face similar challenges
- Uncover the key elements of an effective corporate strategy
- Discover how to replicate themselves as a means to grow their company
- Learn tips and strategies for raising capital and dealing with accounts
- Receive practical feedback to help grow sales effectively and profitably
- Develop the skills required to improve leadership and entrepreneurial abilities
The first quarterly Accelerator Program event will be held on January 27, 2010 from 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. MST at the Deming School for Entrepreneurship on the University of Colorado (CU) campus in Boulder, Colo.
