Holy Family Hospital Calling Diehard New England Sports Fans: Come Meet Celtics, Red Sox, Bruins and Patriots Legends Sun., Sept 27th for Chance to Be in Sports Movie
METHEUN, Mass.-(Business Wire)-September 23, 2009 - The Wyndham Boston Andover Hotel will be the Mecca of New England sports celebrities on Sunday, September 27th when notables from every Boston-area sports franchise will be on hand to meet and take pictures with fans. And for some looking for their Hollywood break, Sundance Film Festival winning producer Laura Bernieri of ‘Last Stop Wonderland’ movie acclaim will have a chance to be part of her newest sports biopic, ‘Men in Green’, which chronicles famous chapters in Celtics lore as told by the champion players themselves. The charity event begins at 6 p.m. and includes a mix of storytelling and informal reminiscing.
Donations of $20 per person will benefit the Foundation for Holy Family Hospital’s 60th Anniversary Capital Campaign and Emergency Center. Among the growing list of beloved sports stars expected to be on hand are: Jo Jo White, KC Jones, ‘Mr. Clutch’ Sam Jones, Thomas ‘Satch’ Sanders, Doc Rivers (Celtics alumni); Ken Hodge and Bob Sweeney (Bruins alumni); Jim Lonborg, Rico Petrocelli and Luis Tiant (Red Sox alumni), Mosi Tatupu (Patriots alumni), other headliners from Boston College Tennis, HBO’s “The Sopranos” and popular local sports media.
