MFM Trade Meetings Selected to Manage U.S. Trade and Development Agency’s Middle East and North Africa Power Conference
MIAMI-(Business Wire)-September 22, 2009 - MFM Trade Meetings, a division of MFM Lamey Group, LLC, has been selected by the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) to manage the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Power Conference 2010, to take place in Cairo, Egypt in May 2010. In sponsoring this conference, USTDA seeks to improve MENA countries’ electricity sector to benefit producers and consumers. The conference is intended to provide opportunities for U.S. equipment and service providers to pursue projects in the MENA electricity sector. It is also intended to showcase projects that could be of substantial commercial value to U.S. equipment and service suppliers, particularly in the areas of renewable and other “green” technologies. The program will consist of a two and one-half day conference featuring plenary workshops, project sessions, roundtable discussions and one-on-one meetings.
Since 1996, MFM Trade Meetings has managed technical research, programming, marketing, and logistics for over 45 international trade events for the U.S. Trade and Development Agency, in locations as diverse as Mexico City, Kathmandu, Atlanta, Hanoi, Muscat, and Bangkok. MFM also provides similar services to NGOs, foreign governments, and other U.S. Government Agencies, including the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, the Export-Import Bank of the United States and the U.S. Department of State. MFM Trade Meetings was acquired by MFM Lamey Group, LLC in 2008 and has offices in Miami, FL and Washington, DC.
“As a company with broad experience in international trade, we are again pleased to be assisting USTDA with another important U.S. Government initiative,” said Dan Lamey, President of MFM Lamey Group.
