Strategy Analytics predicts that GaAs will continue to represent the primary compound semiconductor technology for defense markets through 2013. Defense markets will also be pivotal for growth of the emerging GaN, with demand projected to rocket through 2013. Collectively, the market for GaAs and GaN semiconductor devices will grow at a CAGR of 14% through 2013.
