Haywood Dorland Energy Capital Expands Investment and Legal Teams
NEW YORK-(Business Wire)-September 22, 2009 - Haywood Dorland Energy Capital, LLC, a private equity firm focusing solely on renewable energy (www.hdenergycapital.com), announced today that it has hired the following professionals:
Runa Ganguly Rosenfield - Legal Counsel and Head of Risk Management
Ms. Rosenfield joined Haywood Dorland in September 2009. Previously, she worked at O'Melveny & Myers, LLP as an associate in the Mergers and Acquisitions/Private Equity group. She has served a wide range of clients, including some of the world's leading private equity firms, in acquiring and divesting companies in a diverse array of industries. Ms. Rosenfield holds a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and also earned a Certificate in Business and Public Policy from Wharton.
Julien Rosso - Vice President
Prior to joining Haywood Dorland Energy Capital, Mr. Rosso worked at Glitnir Capital (the NY subsidiary of Glitnir, an Icelandic bank) in renewable energy project finance and has significant experience in the development and financing of geothermal projects in the western United States. Prior to Glitnir Capital, Mr. Rosso worked 5 years in corporate credit at Calyon, the corporate and investment banking division of Credit Agricole. Mr. Rosso holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University and an MBA from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University.
Bryan Butler - Associate
Mr. Butler recently served as a research analyst at Lux Research where he authored a report profiling the financing and investment activity in the energy storage sector. Formerly a senior analyst at Cinium Partners, a boutique private equity firm, Bryan was responsible for analyzing prospective investments and developing summary investment memorandums. He also served as the Vice President of Operations for one of Cinium Partner's ventures. Before joining Cinium Partners, Bryan was a consultant to UBS’ Investment Bank. He holds a Bachelor of Science and Masters degree from Cornell University.
Dov Kesten - Associate
Mr. Kesten has been with Merrill Lynch, Solar Unlimited and Sungrid, in Australia. He is also working on completing a Master's degree in Renewable Energy Systems.
