Calling All Mommy Bloggers: TheBump.com Delivers Launch of the Bump Mommy Blog Awards
NEW YORK-(Business Wire)-September 22, 2009 - Who’s the best mommy blogger on the block? TheBump.com is going to find out! TheBump.com (www.thebump.com), a website for expectant and first-time parents, and sister site of the #1 wedding website, TheKnot.com, today announced the launch of The Bump Mommy Blog Awards program (www.thebump.com/blogawards).
Kicking off today through Friday, October 9, on www.thebump.com/blogawards, TheBump.com invites mommy (and daddy!) bloggers and their loyal fans to nominate their favorite websites for The Bump Mommy Blog Awards. From adoption blogs and fertility blogs to stay-at-home mom blogs and working mom blogs, TheBump.com wants to showcase the best in each of the 15 blog categories for all to see.
“Real parent bloggers are one of the most useful resources for pregnancy and parenting information,” says Carley Roney, editor in chief of TheBump.com. “The Bump Mommy Blog Awards is the perfect medium to bring recognition to all these mommy and daddy bloggers for their hard work.”
On Tuesday, October 13, TheBump.com will showcase up to 10 of the most noteworthy finalists for each of the 15 blog categories. Visitors can then review the top entries and vote for their favorite blogs until Monday, October 19.
On October 20, the winners of each blog category will be announced and will automatically be entered in the running for the title of Best Overall Blog. Visitors will have until Monday, October 26, to cast their votes. The winner will be announced on Tuesday, October 27.
What’s at stake? Not just the recognition of being the best blog…but the grand prize winner will also receive a stimulus package of $1,000 from The Bump. Category prize winners won’t go empty-handed, as each of the 15 blog category winners will receive a gift card for $100 from a specialty baby retailer.
