Baron & Budd, P.C. Sponsors CURE Media Group Book on Mesothelioma
DALLAS-(Business Wire)-September 22, 2009 - Baron & Budd, P.C. has sponsored the publication of a new informational book on mesothelioma titled Understanding Mesothelioma. Understanding Mesothelioma was published by CURE Media Group, L.P., which also publishes CURE, a magazine dedicated to informing cancer patients, survivors and caregivers. Understanding Mesothelioma is CURE Media Group’s first book on mesothelioma and Baron & Budd’s first sponsorship role in the development of a CURE publication.
“We’re thrilled to see this project come together like it has,” said Russell Budd, Baron & Budd managing shareholder. “We wanted to inform people about the serious nature of this disease and to provide resources for navigating treatment issues by sponsoring this book. We hope that this publication will become a resource for mesothelioma patients and their families.”
Understanding Mesothelioma combines useful information on the causes, diagnosis, treatment and legal issues of mesothelioma and provides compelling stories from patients and others who are affected by mesothelioma.
“This is a first for CURE,” said Lena Huang, managing editor of CURE's book division. “The opportunity to really explore a unique cancer topic through this book allowed us to create a resource for patients and families dealing with mesothelioma. With a book dedicated solely to this cancer, we can better inform our readers about the specific strategies for coping with and treating mesothelioma.”
Mesothelioma is a cancer caused by exposure to asbestos. Approximately 3,000 new cases are diagnosed in the United States each year.
