Baja Fresh Continues New York City Expansion
CYPRESS, Calif.-(Business Wire)-September 22, 2009 - Baja Fresh Mexican Grill, the fast-casual fresh Mexican chain, is excited to announce the grand opening of its second Baja Fresh in New York City this year. The new location offers flavorful and fresh Mexican food, for dine-in or take-out, in an environment perfect for native New Yorkers and travelers alike. The store celebrated its grand opening Wednesday September 16th by selling $2 burritos between the hours of 6pm and 8pm. The store also plans to start gaining exposure in the community by catering the non-profit Summer Search Young Leadership Committee fundraising event on September 29th.
The new Baja Fresh is located at 1441 Broadway just 1.5 blocks away from famed Times Square. It is in the heart of the New York City Fashion District and is housed in the same building as clothing brands Jones New York and Liz Claiborne, among many others. The restaurant is also just steps away from the world famous Broadway Theatre District. The 2,000 square foot restaurant is spacious and outfitted in the contemporary, clean, crisp design associated with Baja Fresh. It is owned and operated by 8 year restaurant industry veteran, Neil Seth, of Be Fresh, Inc. Seth also owns and operates the Baja Fresh located at 465 Lexington Avenue, which opened in May.
