Continua Health Alliance Encouraged by America’s Healthy Future Act of 2009

BEAVERTON, Ore.-(Business Wire)-September 21, 2009 - Continua Health Alliance commends the Senate Finance Committee for its work in preparing the Chairman’s Mark, America’s Healthy Future Act of 2009. Continua is encouraged by the references that seek to integrate health information technologies throughout the continuum of care. The Chairman’s Mark includes provisions for new, efficient models of care through telehealth, remote monitoring, wellness and care coordination as part of a comprehensive coordinated plan that will provide elderly and chronic disease patients with better outcomes.
