ST. LOUIS-(Business Wire)-September 21, 2009 - Amerinet members can expect easier access to contract information, purchasing history and important financial information with recent enhancements to the Amerinet Member Resources web site.
“Easy, timely access to information is important to our members making decisions about cost reductions and/or quality improvement in their facilities,” said Curt Miller, chief information officer for Amerinet. “Recent enhancements to member resources provide members with a single point of access to information regarding all Amerinet products and services including a comprehensive online catalog as well as enhanced search and report capabilities.”
All Amerinet members can register for access to member resources. Among the features of the Web site are:
- Spend management tools including benchmarking and Amerinet’s Financial Management Solutions.
- Amerinet Quality Solutions with resources dedicated to improving the quality of patient care, including information on current quality issues, a monthly newsletter and tools for members to utilize in order to meet performance goals.

- Cost reduction features including the savings calculator, which allows healthcare providers to compare item-level Amerinet contract pricing to current prices with respect to quantities, distributor markups and commitment levels.
- Contract access and sign-up which allow you to sign designation forms online. From the contract search results, healthcare providers can sign up for designation-type contracts. An approved designation form is instantly generated and forwarded to the appropriate supplier or distributor.
- Contracting tools which offer users access to Amerinet contracts using member resources’ flexible search functionality. Healthcare providers can search for contracts based on supplier sourcing, product SKU number, category or brand name. For pharmacy contracts, members can search by drug name, generic name or NDC number.
- Distributor markups can be applied. Amerinet Member Resources allows users to define a default distributor to be applied globally to all contracts and items for non-pharmacy contracts. This default distributor can be overridden by assigning a specific distributor for a specific Amerinet contract. Furthermore, a distributor set at an Amerinet contract level can be overridden per individual item under that contract. The distributor markups defined are exclusive to each member resources user.
Members can also monitor their margin improvements success with online reporting capabilities including historical savings, product area sales history, new contracts and rebates.
