IASIS Healthcare Selects Medicity to Support Affiliated Physicians’ Clinical Data Needs
SALT LAKE CITY-(Business Wire)-September 21, 2009 - Medicity, Inc. today announced that IASIS Healthcare went live with the Medicity Novo Grid solution in two (Florida and Utah) of its six regions. The solution enables IASIS to exchange health information electronically with providers connected on the Grid – whether the providers use an electronic health record (EHR) or operate a paper-based practice.

The Medicity technology allows IASIS, which owns and operates 16 hospital facilities, to send real-time patient information that is integrated directly into an EHR. Providers without EHRs can access and print patient information securely via a Web-based dropbox.

IASIS is currently interfacing with McKesson's Practice Partner EHR on the Grid. The hospital system plans to interface with additional EHR vendors, implement ordering capability across the Grid and expand deployment to its remaining regions.
