Black Forest Interactive Releases Faceoff iPhone Shooter
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.-(Business Wire)-September 18, 2009 - Black Forest Interactive announced today that it has released Faceoff, a highly addictive shooter built exclusively to take advantage of the iPhone’s unique capabilities.
Faceoff puts you in charge of saving humanity from a global nuclear meltdown. The Black Thorns - an evil race of secret agents hell bent on your demise - have taken over 50% of the planet and are blowing up the rest. Unfortunately, you live in the other 50%!
Jump in and take a wild ride through 10 amazingly fun, full 3D, freely roamable missions with unique bosses and non-stop action. Do battle in underwater caverns, a pirate's cove, Roman arena, multi-level city streets, a construction yard, and an intergalactic space station.
Unique to Faceoff is gameplay built from the ground up to take advantage of the iPhone's controls. Starting with a physics-based ball roller (virtual pad control also available), Faceoff adds touch-based lock on to keep the action front and center and tap and swipe gestures to fire melee and ranged weapons.
Key to your survival are eight of the biggest weapons ever to hit the iPhone. Mix it up with the Haymaker, Thor's Hammer, Lightning Whip, Peashooter, Gatling Gun, Heat Seeking Missile, Napalm Thrower, and an uber-Nuke named "Wee Willy".
Faceoff has several updates currently in development, including additional missions, global leaderboard, challenges, and multi-player support.
