NCI Awarded $48.9 Million FORSCOM BRAC Task Order
RESTON, Va.-(Business Wire)-September 17, 2009 - NCI, Inc. (NASDAQ:NCIT), a leading provider of information technology (IT), engineering, and professional services and solutions to U.S. Federal Government agencies, is pleased to announce that it was awarded a task order valued at approximately $48.9 million, if all options are exercised. Awarded through the Total Engineering Integrated Services (TEIS) contract, the task order is in direct support of the new combined Headquarters (HQ) facilities for the U.S. Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) and the U.S. Army Reserve Command (USARC) Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) relocation from multiple sites in the Atlanta, Georgia, area, to Fort Bragg, North Carolina. This competitively awarded task order continues NCI’s support of Army and DoD BRAC initiatives. This task order has an 11-month base period with a 17-month option period.
Under the task order, NCI and its team members, Booz Allen Hamilton, Pershing Technologies, and RLM Communications, will provide engineering, procurement, installation, cutover, and testing services in support of the Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence/Information Technology (C4I/IT) systems in the new HQ facilities. C4I/IT systems include data networks, voice networks, audiovisual briefing and display systems, video-teleconferencing systems, and radio frequency and satellite systems. The engineering and technical services will support the overall BRAC relocation activities managed by the U.S. Army Information Systems Engineering Command (USAISEC), Enterprise Systems Engineering Directorate (ESED) located at Fort Huachuca, Arizona.
