NEW YORK-(Business Wire)-September 17, 2009 - Seafarer Exploration Corp. (OTCBB:SFRX) today announced the purchase of a hand held SM10 Magnetometer. Jim Sinclair, the Company Archaeologist stated in a letter to the Board that, “the hand held magnetometer will allow divers to precisely locate the target anomaly in preparation to positioning the vessel for digging.”

Mr. Sinclair also updated and advised the Board that, “we are taking a two pronged approach to the site of investigation, excavation, and recovery in both the deeper areas as well as the shallow areas. We have confirmed a steady direction for the 'scatter pattern' of the wreckage and can now begin to extrapolate where the vessel might be laid to rest. We will utilize these days when the weather is cooperative to access some of the shallow areas with the new piece of equipment.

“When the weather conditions are not as cooperative, we will work on the deeper water areas. This will allow us to be more efficient year around.”
