U.S. Green Building Council Orange County Chapter Presents “Renewable Energy: Implement Now” Meeting

TUSTIN, Calif.-(Business Wire)-September 16, 2009 - The U.S. Green Building Council Orange County Chapter’s Education Committee will present “Renewable Energy: Implement Now” on Thursday, September 24th from 8:00AM to 1:00PM at the Waxie Sanitary Supply office located in Santa Ana, California. Building owners and managers, contractors, architects, engineers and manufacturers have the opportunity to learn how easy and affordable solar and wind power can be to install and operate directly from professionals who have created practical applications.

Attendees will also learn about the issues of planning and specifying solar and wind projects, the most practical, most viable solar and wind solutions you can install, how to finance these solutions and strategies for wind and solar installation. Presenters will include experts from AeroVironment, American Commissioning Group, Crowell Moring, Los Angeles Community College District, Sharp, Solar City, Solar Santa Monica and TRC Companies. Sponsors of this meeting include Southern California Edison, OCB Reprographics, ROEL Construction Company, Stantec and Waxie Sanitary Supply.

Admission for “Renewable Energy: Implement Now” is $60.00 for USGBC-OC Members and $70.00 for Non-Members. Event qualifies for four (4) Continuing Education units for LEED AP credential maintenance.
