Secretary Sebelius Announces Wellness and Prevention Initiative

WHAT:		Health and Human Services Secretary Sebelius will announce the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act’s Prevention and Wellness Fund on Thursday, September 17, 2009.

		Secretary Sebelius will be joined by Dr. Thomas R. Frieden, Director of the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, and other HHS officials, for the announcement of this robust initiative, which will create healthier communities across the nation through innovative and proven approaches that address physical activity, nutrition, obesity and tobacco use, the leading preventable causes of death and disability.
