Newbury Film Series and Stay Vocal Team Up for a T-Shirt Design Contest to Promote Green Video Webseries
BOSTON-(Business Wire)-September 16, 2009 - Non-profit film group Newbury Film Series (NFS), is partnering with Stay Vocal (SV), a reuse apparel company and top ten finalist for the 2009 Green America’s People’s Choice Award, for a t-shirt design contest focused on “What is Waste?”— a NFS green video documentary webseries. With this partnership, the two organizations based on Boston’s South Shore, will be enhancing their commitments to the green movement and promoting positive eco change.
The documentary name, “What is Waste?” will be the major focus of the design. NFS and SV want those who have been vocal about saving the environment and creating awareness to put their words and thoughts into a t-shirt design that conveys their own idea of what is waste. The design will be printed on brand new SV apparel that was originally set to be destroyed by merchandise companies, simply because they were overstock and unable to be sold.
All of the contest guidelines and prizes can be found on the contest page at www.stayvocal.com/contest. The contest begins on September 14th and all entries must be received by September 30th. The winner will be announced on October 5th and the t-shirts will be available soon after.
Stay Vocal is a Green America certified reuse apparel company. Their mission is to encourage people to reuse whenever and wherever possible by offering quality reuse apparel that embraces different fashions, styles, and humor.
Newbury Film Series is the fiscal agent for What is Waste? —- a green video webseries that features people redefining waste; from canners scouring the streets for redeemables to engineers powering their breweries with waste water to architects constructing homes out of tires.
