HOUSTON-(Business Wire)-September 11, 2009 - Sterling Construction Company, Inc. (NasdaqGS: STRL), ("Sterling" or the "Company") today announced that its subsidiary, Texas Sterling Construction Co., was the apparent low bidder on a $20.3 million construction project in Collin County, Texas which is northeast of Dallas. Project construction is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2009 and be completed in the summer of 2011. The scope of the project consists of converting a 2-mile section of asphalt highway into a 4-lane concrete, divided highway and includes the construction of a bridge and installation of 5,000 feet of storm sewer.
