Roseville Arts:

WHO:

Renown artists and arts aficionados including Ms. Noriko Oki — an internationally acclaimed Japanese artist — traveling to the U.S. to join 103 additional contributors who’ve all donated custom, original art work to support “Lottery for the Arts,” where “everybody wins,” presented by Roseville Arts.

WHAT:

VIP Preview Reception for 104 contributing artists plus media, Thursday, as a prelude to Friday’s benefit: “Lottery for the Arts–Everybody Wins.” For the cost of admission, each ticket holder is guaranteed to leave with custom, original artwork. The entire, qualified collection is valued at more than $40,000. (Tickets sales are limited to fewer than the number of contributed works.*)

WHEN:

1) VIP Artists Reception with Media – Thursday, September 10, 2009: 5:30-7 PM

• Photo-op & Media Q&A @ 6:30 PM

2) “Lottery for the Arts” – Friday, September 11, 2009: Beginning at 6:30 PM

WHERE:

The Blue Line Gallery, home to Roseville Arts! – 405 Vernon St., Roseville, CA, on the ground floor of the City’s downtown parking garage.

WHY:

To recognize and celebrate the generous artists whose donated works will support ongoing programs for children and at-risk youth as well as seniors and emerging artists. From Tokyo, Japan, Ms. Oki returns to northern California where she studied previously at the California College of Arts and Crafts. Oki stated, “I have just started my journey as a single mother, and this trip to the U.S. means a lot for me to regain my true self as an independent person, an artist, a free soul, however responsible as a parent.”

COST:

1) VIP Preview Reception, Thursday, Sept. 10: Free to media and invited artists

2) *Lottery for the Arts, Friday, Sept, 11: $175 per ticket (admits 2 guests) to the catered Lottery party and ensures that the holder will “win” (be eligible to select) a piece of original fine art to take home.

Tickets may be purchased online until 2PM, Friday, September 11, 2009 — pending ticket availability — at www.rosevillearts.org, with all proceeds benefiting children and family arts programs presented by Roseville Arts in support of its mission: “Creating a vibrant community through the arts.”
