WOBURN, Mass.-(Business Wire)-September 9, 2009 - As new technologies revolutionize dentistry for both the practitioner and the lab, executives of SensAble Technologies are available for comment on the challenges and opportunity of digital dental lab innovations at this weekend’s 63rd Annual International Education Congress of Dental Technology (IECDT), sponsored by the Dental Lab Association of New York/New England.

On Saturday, September 12, from 2:30 – 4:30 pm, SensAble applications engineer, Matt Tait, R.D.T., B.S., will offer a course, “Going Digital without Going Crazy — 3D Virtual Touch for Partial and Crown & Bridge Design,” for continuing education (CE) credits. Using real-world cases, Matt will provide an overview of the SensAble Dental Lab System and its unique use of haptics (3D virtual touch) so that technicians can model restorations in "digital wax" as naturally as physical wax.

SensAble executives also can comment on new digital technologies for all-ceramic restorations, the “gotcha’s” of digital restorations, new business options for overlooked categories such as partials, and ways that dental labs can retain the quality and skills of experienced technicians as they retire and are replaced by Gen-Y technicians.
