One of the World’s Largest Dental Laboratories Establishes U.S. Dental Lab Network: Modern Dental Laboratory USA
BELLEVUE, Wash.-(Business Wire)-September 9, 2009 - One of the world’s largest dental laboratories is making its mark in the United States today, the result of a three-U.S.-markets merger that will operate under the name Modern Dental Laboratory USA as its domestic distribution arm, announced Chief Executive Officer Patrick Tessier.
Tessier, former chief executive officer of Bellevue, Wash.-based Northwest Laboratories, the Northwest's regional distributor for Shenzhen, China-based Modern Dental Laboratory, merged his company with two other importers of the international laboratory's products in Los Angeles (formerly Koga Enterprises) and Chicago (formerly Modern Dental Laboratory - Chicago) to make the new domestic operation. The newly formed company casts a far-reaching service network, brings world-class product standards and raises the bar for its stateside dental clients.
Seeking to establish an exclusive, national operation for Modern Dental Laboratory, Tessier, a mechanical engineer with an MBA and expertise in global manufacturing, applied the formula of his successful, six-year-old Northwest Laboratories enterprise to serve as a template to grow a national operation. Bellevue will be headquarters to Modern Dental Laboratory USA as well as the Seattle service center, while Los Angeles and Chicago regional service centers set the stage for rapid domestic growth. This distribution arm illustrates a unique business model: regional service centers accountable under a single, privately held company, and its laboratory is not only centralized, it exceeds international quality standards that are third-party verified.
