WHAT

President Obama will address healthcare reform in a speech to a joint session of Congress on September 9th at 8pm ET. With his passage of the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act (part of the Stimulus package known as the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act), Obama has shown that healthcare IT is a national priority and needs to be ramped up for healthcare reform to be effective.

DETAILS

Dr. Leviss is available to offer expert commentary on:
— the nation’s healthcare delivery system’s readiness for HIT, given the industry’s slow adoption rate of technology
— the lessons we need to be aware of based on past HIT failures
— the concerns over the security and privacy of patient data and identity theft
— how HIT can reduce the inefficiencies and high costs that burden the nation’s health system
