SANTA MONICA, Calif.-(Business Wire)-September 3, 2009 - Edmunds.com, the premier online resource for automotive information, forecasts that the first two weeks of September will have a SAAR (Seasonally Adjusted Annual Rate) of 8.4 million. Included in this forecast are approximately 30,000 “hold-over” Cash for Clunkers orders that will be delivered.

According to Edmunds.com Senior Analyst David Tompkins, PhD, “If the entire month of September plays out like our forecast predicts, we’re looking at a SAAR of under 9 million. But the most likely scenario is that the pace of improvement will pick up through the month.”
