MALVERN, Pa.-(Business Wire)-September 1, 2009 - Every pet can get down and dirty. But, does your four-legged family member have what it takes to be crowned the world’s messiest pet? TowerStar Pets, LLC, maker of the Neater Feeder, invites pet owners to submit their sloppy dog and messy cat photos or videos to the World’s Messiest Pet Contest at http://www.neaterfeeder.com/v/worlds-messiest-pet.htm. Every month for four months, a panel of judges will choose the messiest dog and cat from the videos and photos submitted. Their owner will be awarded a free Neater Feeder, the world’s cleanest pet feeding system, to help them clean up their act. One dog and cat winner will be selected from the finalists to take home a grand prize of $1,000 each.

“There are so many advantages to owning pets, and naturally, a few down sides, such as the messes they create,” says Fernando Becattini, Jr., President of TowerStar Pets, LLC. “Often those messes are just a chore, but sometimes they serve as some of our most memorable moments with our pets. I’ll never forget the time my dog opened our oven door in the kitchen and ate the chocolate cake we just baked. We had to clean up all of the mess Duke left behind. The Neater Feeder is about improving the pet and owner relationship by reducing one of the messes that comes along with owning a pet. But we also want to have fun in the process, because sometimes, getting a little dirty pays off.”

TowerStar Pets World’s Messiest Pet Contest kicks off Sept. 1 at midnight, and ends Dec. 31 at midnight. The monthly winners will be announced on Oct. 14, Nov. 18, and Dec. 16. The grand prize winner will be announced on Jan. 13. Contestants are welcome to enter their photos and videos of their dogs and cats or both as often as they’d like.

Contestants must be 18 years or older and a U.S. resident. All submissions become property of TowerStar Pets, LLC with full rights of use in any manner deemed appropriate by TowerStar Pets, LLC. Winners and all persons featured in winning World’s Messiest Pet videos must sign a release to be eligible for payment.
