HSCC Awarded $14M Contract for Superfund
ARLINGTON, Va.-(Business Wire)-August 31, 2009 - Homeland Security Capital Corporation “HSCC” (OTCBB:HOMS), an international provider of specialized technology-based radiological, nuclear, environmental, disaster relief and security solutions to government and commercial customers, announced today that its environmental remediation subsidiary, Safety and Ecology Corporation (SEC) was awarded a $14 million contract for health physics and on-site laboratory support services at the FUSRAP Maywood Superfund Site (FMSS). Since 1999, SEC has successfully performed environmental remediation services as a subcontractor through the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) at the Maywood, NJ site.

The Maywood Superfund Site has been one of SEC’s signature projects dating back to 1996. “SEC appreciates the opportunity to support this site for four more years."
This delivery order contract with a maximum capacity of more than $14 million, was awarded to SEC for a one year base period through September 30, 2010, and three option years taking the contract end date through September 2013. SEC’s scope of work includes radiological engineering and health physics, industrial hygiene, radiological protection operations, and database management to support soil remediation activities on multiple sites in Bergen County, NJ.
