Biomass Combustion Systems Announces Newest Addition to Its Family of “Green BTU” Shop Heater Furnaces
WORCESTER, Mass.-(Business Wire)-August 31, 2009 - Biomass Combustion Systems (BCS), the leader in environmentally friendly wood-burning technology, announced today the availability of a 250,000 BTU/hr wood furnace. This new addition completes the Biomass family of Shop Heater Furnaces which includes 500,000 BTU/hr and 800,000 BTU/hr wood furnaces.
The use of wood-burning furnaces allows companies to save money on fossil fuel, keep their buildings warmer during winter months, and dispose of unwanted wood. The greenhouse-gas-neutral process of wood combustion also lowers the company’s carbon footprint and will reduce or eliminate the need to purchase carbon credits to comply with evolving government regulations.
“We regularly get calls from companies asking for a smaller version of our Shop Heater Furnaces,” states Charles Cary, principal at Biomass Combustion Systems. “Our customers have loved the design of our furnaces for the last 24 years, but there are many facilities which are too small for our larger furnaces. The 250,000 BTU/hr furnace solves that issue and reduces their reliance on fossil fuels, raises and maintains an even temperature in their facilities, and burns any wood residue or inexpensive wood they have.”
All three Biomass systems are cost effective, durable, and the “Green BTU's” they generate are most respectful of the environment.
