Disney Announces Acquisition of Marvel Entertainment Inc. via Video Statement
BURBANK, Calif.-(Business Wire)-August 31, 2009 - Robert A. Iger, president and CEO, The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS), today announced that Disney will acquire Marvel Entertainment Inc. and its portfolio of over 5,000 characters (the complete press release follows this alert).
