TIFIE to Highlight Humanitarian Initiatives at Upcoming Event
SPANISH FORK, Utah-(Business Wire)-August 26, 2009 - TIFIE Humanitarian will showcase its charitable initiatives in Africa and Utah at an event on September 12. The event will be held at the acclaimed TIFIE Ranch in Morgan, Utah, and will highlight TIFIE’s history and future direction. The night’s events will also include a tour of the TIFIE Ranch—a 250-acre facility powered through solar, hydro and wind technologies—and will conclude with an intimate concert by TIFIE supporter Thurl Bailey.
“I’m extremely humbled by the work TIFIE has accomplished, both in Africa and here in the U.S.,” said Robert Workman, Chairman of TIFIE Humanitarian. “TIFIE is ensuring a brighter future for families in Africa by helping to eradicate poverty, and creating a thriving trade and commerce. TIFIE is also a leading proponent of alternative energy, and is demonstrating how it can greatly benefit developing countries.”
A multimedia presentation of TIFIE’s initiatives will be shown throughout the night, discussing schools and orphanages that are sustained by TIFIE enterprises. Guests will enjoy appetizers and participate in a silent auction. The tour of the TIFIE Ranch will include a 14,000-square-foot lodge, three independent cabins and two pavilions, all powered through solar, hydro and wind technologies. The Workman Charitable Remaining Trust developed the property for TIFIE to lease to the public for private events, with all proceeds going to support the initiatives of TIFIE Humanitarian.
The night’s festivities will end with music by Thurl Bailey, an award-winning singer/song writer, former Utah Jazz star, and recipient of numerous awards for leadership and charitable work.
The event is open to the public but seating is limited. The TIFIE Ranch is located at 6100 South Highway 66, Morgan, UT 84050.
