Aggreko Expands in the Great Lakes
INDIANAPOLIS-(Business Wire)-August 25, 2009 - Aggreko, the global leader in rental power, temperature control and oil-free compressed air solutions, has expanded its Midwestern presence with the opening of its newest service center in Indianapolis, Indiana. The 5000 sq ft facility, located on a two-acre yard at 6401 E 30th Street, will house all aspects of the Aggreko business – sales, service, and fleet – and provide a quicker, more comprehensive response for local customers. The company has serviced the Indianapolis area for 10 years, the last five out of its Cincinnati service center.
“The temporary utility business is truly local. This location provides an Indianapolis flavor, including sales support, service capabilities and all equipment product lines,” said Mark Murphy, Vice President, Area General Manager for the Great Lakes region. “Our goal is to provide the customers in Indianapolis with the same high level of quality fleet and service that Aggreko is known for worldwide.”
The new Aggreko site will service all of the surrounding area’s industries, including mechanical and electrical contracting, events, food and beverage, manufacturing, chemicals, utilities, pharmaceuticals, construction, hospitals and universities.
Aggreko will supply the area with the company’s major rental product lines, including:
- Power generators from 30 kW to 1,500 kW
- Temperature control units, including chillers, cooling towers, air conditioners and electric heaters
- Oil-free air compressors
“The diverse and vibrant Indianapolis economy made opening this service center a natural decision for us,” said Todd Walkup, Area Sales Manager for the Great Lakes region. “Indianapolis is an excellent fit into our existing Great Lakes service network.”
In addition to its nationwide network of service centers, Aggreko operates service centers in Cincinnati, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit and Charleston, West Virginia.
