Madison Square Garden Names Gavin Harvey as General Manager of Fuse
NEW YORK-(Business Wire)-August 24, 2009 - Madison Square Garden announced today that Fuse, the only network dedicated to music, named Gavin Harvey, executive vice president, general manager of Fuse. Reporting to Michael Bair, president of MSG Media, Mr. Harvey will lead the network’s strategic direction and oversee all of Fuse’s day-to-day business operations.

In his new role, Mr. Harvey will manage Fuse’s business strategy, marketing, ad sales, and programming and production. He will also be responsible for shaping the overall music strategy for Fuse by working closely with Madison Square Garden Entertainment, and its world-renowned venues including Madison Square Garden, the Beacon Theatre, Radio City Music Hall, The Chicago Theatre and the Wang Theatre in Boston, to utilize the power of the brand’s assets in creative and unique ways.

Mr. Harvey has over 20 years of television experience and most recently served as President of VERSUS, the sports-oriented cable network owned by Comcast, where he oversaw the network’s overall programming, operation, marketing and sales operation. He played an integral role in the rebranding and restructuring of Outdoor Life Network into VERSUS. Prior to Comcast, Mr. Harvey served as executive vice president and marketing & brand director at E! Networks where he was in charge of brand strategies worldwide. He also managed advertising, creative services, public relations, marketing, and all promotions for E! Networks including E! Entertainment Television, The Style Network, E! International and E! Online. Mr. Harvey began his career at The Disney Channel and has also held executive positions at In Demand and FX Networks.
Mr. Harvey holds an MBA from the UCLA Graduate School of Management, a Master of Arts in International Relations from the University of Chicago, and a Bachelor of Arts from University of the Pacific. He is a member of the PROMAX Board of Directors and was named a PROMAX Brand Builder in 2004. Mr. Harvey resides in Connecticut with his wife and two children.
